Meet the Coach
Hello!
My name is Sarah Duncan, and I’m passionate about helping people live fulfilling purpose-driven lives. I’m an avid problem-solver with a creative eye who loves to educate, train, and motivate adults and students alike to reach their goals and grow in confidence
Before pursuing Life and Academic Coaching, I served in the Public Education System for nearly a decade - first as a Teacher’s Aide at a Christian Pre-School and later as a Professional School Counselor for Grades K-12. Spending the majority of my time with Middle School Students. I continue to hold my School Counseling credential through the CTC and am a proud member of both the American School Counselor Association and the California Association of School Counselors. I am also currently completing ICF certification to become a Professional Certified Coach.
Over the years, I witnessed how many families and students were struggling to stay connected, communicate, and grow resilient to life’s hurdles — and I felt called to serve beyond the classroom. That’s what led to the creation of On Course Family Coaching.
Purpose: On Course Family Coaching exists to help families and individuals heal, grow, and rediscover who God created them to be — guiding them toward emotional wholeness, spiritual alignment, and lasting connection.
I believe that while our culture has drifted away from family unity and spiritual grounding, it’s not too late to find our way back. Through coaching, I walk alongside families as they strengthen communication, direction, and resilience — supporting students and parents through academic and emotional growth, fostering stronger marriages, and helping every member stay on course academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Vision: To see families and students living in alignment with faith, purpose, and connection — confident in who they are, united in love, and anchored in God’s truth.
Like many, my passion for family coaching comes from personal experience. I grew up in a home touched by divorce and brokenness — but through my faith journey (hills, valleys, and all), I’ve witnessed firsthand how God restores and renews. Through grace, communication, and daily intentional choices, my own marriage has become a testimony to the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness. I know that with the right guidance and commitment, yours can thrive too.
At OCFC, we also invest in the next generation — equipping pre-teens, teens, and young adults with the life and executive functioning skills they need to flourish. When students learn to manage time, communicate effectively, express emotions safely, and solve problems with confidence, they’re not just learning skills — they’re building a foundation for a purposeful future.
Unlike therapy or counseling, coaching focuses on building what’s next — empowering you and your family to take action toward the life you’re meant to live.

Our values
-
Faith is the compass that keeps us on course.
At OCFC, we believe true transformation begins when hearts and homes align with God’s truth. Every conversation, every session, and every step forward is guided by faith and prayerful discernment.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:6
“Courage, dear heart.” — Aslan, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader -
Relationships flourish in understanding.
Before we teach, we listen. Before we correct, we connect. When families feel seen, heard, and valued, healing naturally takes root — and love becomes the language that guides change.
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” — Ephesians 4:2
“You can’t truly love until you see through another’s eyes.” — Ted Dekker, The Forgotten Way -
Growth is a process, not a performance.
At OCFC, we celebrate progress — not perfection. Whether a student learning resilience, a couple rebuilding trust, or a parent rediscovering hope, we extend grace in every season and cheer for every step of faith forward.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” — Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire -
Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s faith in motion.
We teach families and students to lead with strength anchored in kindness, to face hard conversations with empathy, and to move forward with hope, even when the way ahead is uncertain.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; for the Lord your God goes with you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6
“We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.” — Dauntless Manifesto -
Every journey has divine design.
We help others uncover meaning and direction in every stage of life. Through coaching, we guide students, parents, and couples to walk confidently in who they are and to see their daily steps as part of God’s larger story.
“You are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.” — Ephesians 2:10
“She warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within.” — Narrator Beauty and the Beast -
Strong families shape generations.
We believe in restoring communication, deepening connection, and building faith-filled homes that outlast hardship. Family isn’t just where life happens — it’s where legacy begins.
“The righteous man walks in integrity; his children are blessed after him.” — Proverbs 20:7
“You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” — Bilbo Baggins
